    As a recent private patient, I'm appalled at the lack of communication between nursing staff at the hospital which resulted in not receiving the antibiotics my doctor had prescribed after my surgery. I was only given one tablet of antibiotic after surgery and never again while in hospital. When I asked about this, a nurse replied that my doctor had given me a strong dose during surgery. Upon discharge, I asked for any medication I needed to take and was told (by a nurse), that there were none, only to get a phone call from the hospital to say that 'I' forgot the medicine I had bought in. No mention of antibiotics or pain killers from my doctor. As a result, I started taking antibiotics '4 days' after my surgery!
